Questions
Does merging reduce the quality?
No. The pages are copied across as objects, not re-drawn, so fonts, vector graphics and image quality are exactly as they were. The merged file is roughly the size of the originals added together.
How many files can I merge?
There is no limit imposed by the tool. It runs on your machine, so the practical ceiling is your available memory.
Can I change the order?
Yes. The list shows the order they will be joined in, and you can move any file up or down before merging.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Nothing is sent to a server, which is the main reason to use this rather than a service that asks you to upload contracts and bank statements.
Is this the same as "combine pdf"?
