Questions

Which countries accept a 40×60 mm photo?

This size is the standard for . Individual applications can add their own rules, so it is worth a glance at the form you are filling in.

How big does the head have to be in the frame?

Between 32 mm and 36 mm from the chin to the top of the head. The two dashed lines on the crop are placed at that measurement, so lining the face up with them puts the head inside the accepted range.

Does this replace the background?

No, and that is deliberate. Automatic background removal cuts into hair and ears, and a photo with a chewed outline is rejected on sight. Take the photo against a plain wall instead. Plain white or a light colour, with no pattern or shadow. Glasses are not accepted.

Does it meet the upload size limit as well?

Yes, and that is the part most tools miss. Vietnam visa photo uploads are rejected on file WEIGHT as well as dimensions — this one wants under 1.00 MB. The photo is encoded to land inside that window at the exact pixel size required, and the result tells you whether it did.

Can I print these at home or at a shop?

Yes. After the photo is made you can build a 6×4 inch sheet with several copies tiled on it and faint cut lines. Print shops and pharmacy kiosks charge per 6×4 print, so one sheet costs the same as one photo.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser using the canvas built into it. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and the page keeps working if you disconnect from the internet after it loads.

Is this the same as "vietnam e-visa photo"?

Yes. It also gets called "visa photo size vietnam" and "vietnam visa photo requirements". They all describe this one job, and this page does it.
